Halo

A ring of smaller diamonds circles the center stone, right where everyone can see it, and the eye reads the whole thing as bigger and brighter than the center alone. That is a halo doing its trick. Most are settings, which leaves the center stone for you to choose with us, lab grown or natural.

Halo at Perrara

A Circle of Diamonds Around the Stone You Chose

A halo is the loud cousin of the hidden halo: instead of tucking the extra diamonds underneath, a halo rings the center stone completely, right where everyone can see it. The effect is a real optical trick, making the center read noticeably larger than its actual carat weight, which is why it is a genuinely popular choice, sorted here with our best-selling first.

Nearly every halo setting here is exactly that, a setting, so the center stone is chosen separately, with us, natural or lab grown. The occasional piece is the exception and arrives complete, the diamond already set. Metal runs the full range on this shelf, yellow, white, rose gold and platinum, so do not assume the one you saw first is the only option. And a setting built for an emerald center turns up here too, in case color is what you are actually after.

Every small stone in that ring takes the same daily knocks as the center it circles, so the free annual service on anything bought here goes over all of them. And if the showroom is out of reach, the text button reaches a person, not a form: describe the design and the stone, get photos back.

Questions we actually get

Straight answers from the people on the floor

What is a halo engagement ring?

A halo engagement ring surrounds the center stone with a ring of smaller diamonds set close together, which adds sparkle and makes the center read larger than its actual carat weight. It is a genuinely popular style for exactly that reason: more visual size for the same stone.

What is a double halo engagement ring?

A double halo adds a second ring of smaller diamonds around the first, so the effect stacks: more sparkle, and an even larger look around the center stone. It is a bolder version of the same idea, worth asking us about directly if that heavier look is what you want.

Do I choose the diamond separately with a halo setting?

For nearly every halo setting here, yes. The ring of smaller diamonds is already built in; the center stone you choose separately with us, either origin. One piece on this page comes complete instead, the center diamond already set, and it is marked.
