If you have ever had the privilege to meet Noam Carver in real life, the memory is permanently etched in your memory. Warm, kind, generous, funny and let’s face it, gorgeous! The man is real and he is amazing. In 2017 we were honored to be the retailer and jeweler exclusively chosen to carry the Noam Carver line of engagement rings in the Kelowna area. Fast forward six years to 2023 and we can’t imagine life at Perrara without him! Let me introduce the man, the jewels and the praise.
Who is Noam Carver?
Noam Carver is a Canadian sculptor, designer and goldsmith whose jewelry unites classic and contemporary vibes from around the world. Intuition, exploration and distinction are the three founding principles that guide Noam Carver's award-winning design process.
I developed my design aesthetic working one-on-one for friends and acquaintances out of my workshop in Montreal, and so I drew inspiration from the women around me: the quintessential Montreal girl. She is well travelled, highly educated, career oriented, but most importantly, she is fashion forward and always edgy. I try to convey that very essence. This helps orient my thought process from the conceptual phase all the way to the end product. It’s about playing with dichotomies of what is conceptual, contemporary, and timeless, because at the base of it all, that is the essence of bridal.
As Perrara is nestled in the heart of the Okanagan Valley in Kelowna BC, we are thrilled to carry this collection originating in Montreal Canada. The Noam Carver collection has grown exponentially since it’s inception in 2009. It’s my pleasure to guide you through the main collections and provide oodles of inspiration if you are shopping for bridal jewelry, eternity bands or fine jewelry.
Noam carver Engagement rings
Engagement rings were the first collection by Noam Carver. In the words of Noam Carver:
There is one ring that took Noam Carver to the next level and when I launched my bridal collection that ring went viral. From the top view, it seemed like a classic ring, but it had an explosive diamond-encrusted basket design. The fine detail and punch of a simple solitaire diamond drew so much interest, it won 1st place in the 2019 JCK Jeweler’s Choice Awards. This ring encapsulates the Noam Carver look, because regardless of the theme that drives a collection—vintage, floral, or the now-trendy resurgence of yellow gold—Noam Carver is always contemporary and slightly different than whatever else is out there.
This is the ring! Look at that gorgeous detail on a classic solitaire engagement ring, it is absolutely breathtaking. 14K rose gold is the perfect backdrop for all the drama juxtaposed with simplicity.
Another award winning design is this striking floral diamond engagement ring hand crafted out of 14K rose gold (white gold and yellow gold are available by special order). Look at how the center stone is carefully placed in an intricate floral set of prongs! Simply stunning!
Each and every engagement ring is designed with a perfectly matched wedding band so if you love exact details, start with the complimentary designed wedding ring. However, Noam Carver’s thoughtful attention to detail also allows for you to put your own spin on things! His extensive line of stackable rings give you the ability to think outside the box. I recently had a lovely young couple who fell in love with a diamond Noam Carver stackable but suddenly shared with me that she’d always dreamt of having gemstones, specifically blue sapphires in her band. I was elated because the team at Noam Caver love to put a custom spin on things for their clients! We placed a special order outlining exactly how she envisioned the placement of the gemstones and it was utterly perfect!
Atelier Collection
The Atelier Collection by Noam Carver has been thoughtfully and brilliantly designed for center stones of 1.50 carats or bigger. The structure of each ring is intended for a large diamond or gemstone center. Again, each engagement ring will be shown alongside a complimentary wedding band, complete with the signature European foundation (aka the squared off bottom of the band).
This Atelier engagement ring boasts a gorgeous emerald cut diamond in a crisp bezel setting. The entire foundation has been finished with a soft matte texture, perfect for those who want a powerful yet understated look.
We also LOVE his signature hidden halo on the Atelier rings! Look at that gorgeous, minimalist hidden halo in a graceful draped design...just wow!
Gentlemen’s Wedding Bands
Recently Noam Carver launched his gentlemen’s wedding band collection, with a spin of modern meets tactile. The designs were inspired by handmade objects such as tools, that were made in the past. An ode to history.
Each Noam Carver gentlemen’s wedding ring is crafted out of your choice of 14K gold or 18K white gold, yellow gold, rose gold, platinum and even some designs in the metal tantalum (shown far left on the image below).
GLOW
The GLOW eternity band collection is so pretty and extremely versatile. If you’ve ever shopped for an eternity band you know it can be a little daunting and most designers make it...well hard. Not Noam Carver. Each GLOW band can be customized with your desired shape of diamond, total carat size, finger size and in your choice of precious metal. This collection must been seen to be appreciated and so we carry loads of samples in store (ideal for us to create your perfect wishlist and all you’ll have to do is give the hint hint to your loved one!)
Fine Jewelry
Summer of 2023 saw Noam Carver launch his fine jewelry collection. As of the writing of this article it is not available at Perrara but keep watch on www.noamcarver.com to keep up with the releases!
